Last Saturday (22/09), the kids and I caught a Sons et Lumière show at the Grande Arche of La Défense. “Sons et Lumière” translates into “Sounds and Lights” and includes fireworks, laser show, movies shown on the Grande Arche all to the accompaniment of a soundtrack. Sometimes it’s hard to find the energy to go across the city late on a Saturday night, but this time it was worth it!

I’d like to turn this site into more of a collaborative effort, if at all possible. For that, I need your help!
If you have taken a picture of Paris on your cell phone and would like to show it off to the world, why not do it here? It doesn’t have to be super artistic–there are enough photo sites of Paris as it is–just taken with a mobile phone and that’s all!
Please send a copy of your photograph to Paris.Paul.Prescott@gmail.com and I’ll let you know when it’ll be posted.
Thanks so much for your help!
Please feel free to check out my Paris Inspired fiction here

Two great photos. We’ve yet to see the ‘new’ arch but will get there one of these times. How nice you went with your children too. Take care and keep photographing that beautiful city
Cheers.
Thanks for the visit, Carolyn! I’m a big fan of La Défense, one of the few, but I think it’s the part of me that always wanted to live in a big city with a lot of skyscrapers that feels drawn to La Défense. In any case, the children and I all had a wonderful time!
Thanks for the visit and see you in the streets!

Very fun! I like the photo with the Matisse-style bodies. So neat that Paris does events like this!
There’s always something going on in Paris, to be sure! The show was a lot more fun than we thought it would be, which made it all the nicer.
Thanks for stopping by, babe!
Paul
Wow, I would have loved to see this show! Why didn´t I know about it?
I posted something about this months ago on Facebook, but other than that, I think most of the advertising was done locally. Were you in town the weekend of the 22nd of September?
See you in the streets,
Paris Paul
