I’d like to turn this site into more of a collaborative effort, if at all possible. For that, I need your help!

If you have taken a picture of Paris on your smart phone and would like to show it off to the world, why not do it here? It doesn’t have to be super artistic–there are enough photo sites of Paris as it is–just taken with a mobile phone and that’s all!

Please send a copy of your photograph to Paris.Paul.Prescott@gmail.com and I’ll let you know when it’ll be posted.

Thanks so much for your help!

  1. It’s Dalida, the famous singer — I knew that much as the bust looks just like her photos and the statue of her in Montmartre Cemetery, where she is buried. But I did not know where it could be until I guessed there must be a “Square Dalida” or something like that. Sure enough… I Googled and there is a Place Dalida in Montmartre. Here: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Place_Dalida

Really good one! I never did see that Place before — walked around that area, but never did see it. When were you there?

    • Hi Babe!

Thanks for playing and here’s your badge…

I was there doing research for a post I’d like to do for Paris Inspired, but I first noticed it on the bus ride home from the Musée de Montmartre after the Chat Noir exhibit.

      See you in the streets,

      Paris Paul

      • Ah okay! Very cool! Which bus goes by there? Not the N° 60 — I don’t think. Orrr, maybe, but further up the road from Jules Joffrin?

Now I am wondering if I actually was near there. I need to look it up on the map again.

Looking forward to a post on P.I.!

      • Oh riiiight, the Montmartre Bus, okay. That one goes on the rue du Mont Cenis, though, huh. Where I used to babysit. :) Man, I miss little S. Saw some pics of him on a card I dumped the other day. A real cutie patootie. Remember there was that one day after babysitting where I walked straight up the hill from Jules Joffrin to Sacre Coeur after babysitting — all the way up all the stairs on the rue du Mont Cenis. Then I met Karin in the Goutte d’Or. That was an adventure, lol.

So I may have been up very close to the Place, but it gets a bit winding up there on the hill and it is easy to miss things in the nooks and crannies of the streets.

Thanks for letting me know. Glad you are still having adventures there! :)

  2. I’d like to play this week! I love this shot. Here are my answers. Dalida? Place Dalida at the tip of rues Girardon and Abreuvoir in Montmartre? Fingers are crossed. . .T. (Gorgeous shot!!)
