This weekend, the Clos Montmartre, Paris’s only working vineyard, is having its annual harvest festival. Above is a shot of the vineyard taken from the back of the Musée de Montmartre.

I’d like to turn this site into more of a collaborative effort, if at all possible. For that, I need your help!
If you have taken a picture of Paris on your cell phone and would like to show it off to the world, why not do it here? It doesn’t have to be super artistic–there are enough photo sites of Paris as it is–just taken with a mobile phone and that’s all!
Please send a copy of your photograph to Paris.Paul.Prescott@gmail.com and I’ll let you know when it’ll be posted.
Thanks so much for your help!
Please feel free to check out my Paris Inspired fiction here

That has got to be some pricey grapes/wine considing the price of real estate in Paris.
Dad! What a pleasant surprise. Nice to see you here! To answer your question, I read that the wine goes for €45 a bottle, and the New York Times reportedly called it the “most expensive bad wine in the city”. Alas, as a teetotaler, I shall never find out if this is true or not.
See you in the streets,
Paris Paul

When I was in the Monmartre area for the first time I didn´t know about this vineyard and but loved it at first sight. In Vienna we also have vineyards, one very, very small even in the city center. I love the buildings in your photo. There are a lot of nice buildings in this area.
Hi Vreni,
I discovered the vineyard when I went to the Musée de Montmartre, as the vineyard is just behind it. I liked the look of the buildings, as well, and how they illustrate that the vineyard really is in the middle of the “village”!
See you in the streets,
Paris Paul
