Boulevard Henri IV
75004 Paris
Ever wonder where Parisians buy their gas? Gas stations in Paris are usually nothing more than pumps set up on the sidewalk, close to the streets. This one is on the tip of the Île de la Cité.

If you have taken a picture of Paris on your cell phone and would like to show it off to the world, why not do it here? It doesn’t have to be super artistic–there are enough photo sites of Paris as it is–just taken with a mobile phone and that’s all!
Please send a copy of your photograph to Paris.Paul.Prescott@gmail.com and I’ll let you know when it’ll be posted.
Thanks so much for your help!

I love the blurry background. Is this by any chance the Pont de Sully?
Thanks Vreni,
i added the blur later to help set the pump apart from the background…glad you liked it!
See you in the streets,

That was when we walked around Ile-de-Saint-Louis, wasn’t it? The day we had that nice lunch? Or am I mis-remembering. I took some photos of that pump, too, but could not find them on my computer (they are probably on the external HD!).
Yeah, Vreni, it is just near the Pont de Sully.

That was it! i’d finished work early and the day turned out to be nicer than we thought. We had lunch at the creperie and walked aroudn the Ile St Louis and saw the barge an the people hanging out on the quais in the sunshine.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
See you in the streets,

Okay, I am glad that I had the right day in mind. Actually, we have had nothing but good experiences on the Ile-Saint-Louis (no “de” eh?). The other time we spent an afternoon there was really excellent, too. Maybe it has a little magic to it.
