Only one correct answer to last week’s challenge! Karin P of An Alien Parisienne was the only one to know where this is found.
Bastille Metro
Line 1
75011 Paris
Here’s what Karin had to say.
Once I got to thinking about it, I *knew* I had seen this before. My first guess was in the little park next to the old church at St. Germain (St. Germain des Prés)– there is a fresco made of Sevres porcelain, I think it is, in the little square just next to it. Then I realized upon seeing a photo of the park, the WIIW could not be there. Next, I had the brainchild, “This is in a Métro station! I am sure of it.” So I started Googling on stations with a frieze or other decoration, and then I came upon this: photo of M° Bastille. Et voilà! Krs spent some time around Bastille, I guess!
But onto this week’s challenge.
Where is this?

NEW to Paris By Cell Phone! I am now taking requests! Is there something Parisian you would love to see on your computer screen? Send me your request at Paris.Paul.Prescott@gmail.com and I’ll hook you up!
Or, if you have taken a picture of Paris on your cell phone and would like to show it off to the world, why not do it here? It doesn’t have to be super artistic–there are enough photo sites of Paris as it is–just taken with a mobile phone and that’s all!
Please send a copy of your photograph to Paris.Paul.Prescott@gmail.com and I’ll let you know when it’ll be posted.
Thanks so much for your help!

Well done, Krs! You were first!
See you in the streets,

Thank you for the Chupa Chups.
I do love me some “Where is it Wednesday?” Maybe it is a bit like those who like to do the Sunday Times Crossword, lol.
I’ll comment separately on my answer for this week.

Glad you get a kick out of it!

Okay, my first guess on the stone pyramid was honestly either Père Lachaise or Montparnasse Cemeteries, but a confirmation search yielded nothing. So I confess I just went on an Internet hunt. At first, I put in these key words: “stone pyramid paris” and you can guess which pyramid dominated, lol, so I added “-Louvre” meaning “everything BUT the Louvre” and BINGO. As soon as I saw where it was in the image search, I said to myself, “Of course!”
It is in Parc Monceau in the 8th. I found a picture of it in a cool Paris on Demand post, 10 Photos of the Monceau Park.
I have no idea which section it is in. Hang on. Maybe Google Maps will show it!
And when were you last in Parc Monceau? The last time I remember you there was when we saw that exhibit at the Asian museum nearby (the Whatsis… I’ll look that up, too). That was before you had a smartphone!
Investigation 1 = here it is on Google Maps
Investigation 2 = Musée Cernuschi; Funny, it is misspelled on Google Maps. They have it marked as “Mus. Cerrluschi”. LOL.
Sorry. Long answer again. TRULY, I need someone who needs my magic Internet search powers to hire me. I am excellent at Facebook posting and blogging, too, haha. I laugh, but SURELY there has to be someone out there who needs my special “skilz.” To use the hipster lingo for it. (I have a feeling that is not hip anymore…)
Thanks for the fun.
xx
